Four Halloween Board Books for Babies

My 8-month old daughter loves to listen to books and this is something that I want to continue to foster in her as she grows. I adore reading aloud, especially a great holiday book. It helps get everyone in the spirit. I hope these traditions will help show her the joy in reading.

Here are four halloween board books for babies that my daughter thinks are hilarious. She loves a great sound effect.

Five Little Pumpkins
Five Little Pumpkins | illustrated by Lucy Barnard

A Halloween take on 5 Little Monkeys (another favorite), this cheeky book has it all. Rhymes, witches, and pumpkin antics are guaranteed to make my daughter laugh. She has an interesting love of all things spooky.

Eek! Halloween!
Eek! Halloween! | by Sandra Boynton

Sandra Boynton’s books are a family favorite. This one follows a group of chickens confused by all the Halloween costumes around them. Plus, it is extra fun if you give it your all and make all the animal/character noises.

Biscuit Visits the Pumpkin Patch

Biscuit Visits the Pumpkin Patch | by Alyssa Satin

One of the four Halloween board books for babies that my daughter loves. Biscuit goes to the pumpkin patch in search of a pumpkin to carve. Also, he learns all about pumpkins and makes some friends along the way. This book is one of my daughter’s favorites because she absolutely loves puppies.

Llama Llama Trick or Treat

Llama Llama Trick or Treat | by Anna Dewdney

Llama Llama is always a favorite with the kids and the Halloween book doesn’t disappoint. In this book, Llama meets up with all of his friends in their costumes to trick or treat.
